    Baruch Forward

Our highest priority is protecting the health and safety of our students, faculty, and staff while maintaining academic and business continuity in the virtual campus environment. As we follow guidance from CUNY and New York State on the Covid-19 pandemic, our goal is to ensure that our students can maintain their academic momentum, protect financial aid, and work toward their professional futures.

Under the leadership of President S. David Wu, Baruch is also exploring ways to harness the lessons learned from the pandemic and draw on the College’s signature creativity and innovation to lead a paradigm shift in public higher education. To that end, early in the pandemic President Wu established the Task Force for the Future which first addressed the College’s immediate needs as we transitioned to online learning and is now working toward a conceptual framework for the future.

The Baruch Forward website is updated regularly to provide the latest resources, support, and services needed to navigate the virtual campus environment, and it will provide guidance for our eventual transition back to in-person learning and work.

    Distance Learning

President Wu announced that distance learning and services will be in effect through Spring 2021. All services provided to students prior to Covid-19, along with all student activities, are being offered in virtual formats. The vast majority of courses are being held in synchronous and asynchronous distance learning formats. A small number of classes are being conducted as hybrid courses—a mixture of distance instruction with some face-to-face instruction. Students who are enrolled in hybrid courses should review the safety protocols for on-campus access. Learn which course format is which. Technology support and services are available for students.

Visit CUNY’s continuity for students site for additional information and policy changes related to distance learning.
